President Donald Trump has stepped into the fray as conservative commentators Megyn Kelly and Mark Levin ramped up their feud on social media over the weekend, with Trump defending Levin against "jealous and angry human beings."
Why It Matters
Kelly and Levin have been at odds for months, clashing over issues such as the ongoing war with Iran, the United States' close ties with Israel, and the files relating to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Earlier this month, Levin called Kelly "an evil, narcissistic lunatic" on X. The fresh feud appeared to begin when Levin, the host of The Mark Levin Show and Fox News's Life, Liberty & Levin, expressed his disapproval of the Megyn Kelly Show host's opposition to the war in Iran.

Levin is a vocal Trump supporter and joined the president at the White House in December for a Hanukkah reception. Kelly and Trump have publicly sparred in the past, including on the 2015 campaign trail. More recently, the former Fox News host backed Trump for president in 2024, though she has broken with him over the Iran war.
Feud Esclates Online
The confrontation between Kelly and Levin had already grown heated before the president entered the fray. Levin launched a round of attacks on March 15, posting on X that Kelly was “an emotionally unhinged, lewd, and petulant wreck” who had “completely revealed and destroyed herself.”
“She’s everything people say she is, but much worse. Never an intelligent, thoughtful, or substantive comment. Utterly toxic,” he wrote.
Kelly fired back with an insult of her own, accusing Levin of repeatedly targeting her online.
“Micropenis Mark @marklevinshow thinks he has the monopoly on lewd. He tweets about me obsessively in the crudest, nastiest terms possible. Literally more than some stalkers I’ve had arrested. He doesn’t like it when women like me fight back. Bc of his micropenis,” she posted on X.

Trump Backs Levin
Trump intervened Sunday with a lengthy message praising Levin, describing the longtime conservative broadcaster as a key ally.
“Mark Levin, a truly Great American Patriot, is somewhat under siege by other people with far less Intellect, Capability, and Love for our Country,” Trump wrote, calling Levin “Tough, Strong, and Brilliant.”
The president also referenced fellow Fox News personality Sean Hannity, noting Hannity’s nickname for Levin: “The Great One.”
Trump continued: “He is a true Conservative, and Intellect, far smarter than those who criticize him but, above all, he is a man of Great Wisdom and Common Sense who truly loves our Country.
“When you hear others unfairly attack Mark, remember that they are jealous and angry Human Beings, whose ‘sway’ is much less than the Public understands, and will, now that they know where I stand, rapidly diminish.”
Levin thanked the president in a long message posted to X.
“Mr. President: I am beyond humbled by your words and graciousness in writing such a beautiful note and sharing it on Truth Social. I am honored that you took the time to write it,” Levin wrote. He went on to praise Trump’s leadership, adding: “Your courage, strength, and moral clarity are truly unparalleled. And your leadership has made our country and the world much safer.”
He continued: “It is an enormous honor to know you as my family and I do and call you, Mr. President, our friend. You're one of a kind. Truly remarkable. Please be safe and God bless.”
Kelly Responds
After Trump publicly backed Levin, Kelly escalated her criticism further, accusing him of appealing to the president for support.
Kelly wrote that Levin is "such a SMALL MAN he had to go beg the president for a pat on the head (in the middle of a war!) to make himself feel better about … well, you know."
She continued by referencing what she described as a long pattern of personal attacks: “This, after one mean tweet about him - following his 111 (!) nasty, non-stop, personal, misogynistic attacks on me. (Fox has an OBSESSED HARASSER on its hands.)
“Just like all feckless, weakling bullies Micro can dish it out but he can’t take it. After just one post putting the so-called ‘great one’ in his place, he ran crying to Daddy," she wrote.
Former Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, once a staunch Trump ally, offered her support to Kelly, writing: "I wholeheartedly support Megyn Kelly telling the world that Mark Levin has a micropenis. It’s the most deserved insult and I don’t care if it’s vulgar. And Trump’s gigantic defense of Levin only enraged the base more. People are DONE. MAGA destroyed by micropenis Mark Levin."
