President Donald Trump said he could have won the Vietnam War in a week, but appeared to mix up a city central to the conflict.
Trump was talking about his operations in Iran and Venezuela at a rally in Dubuque, Iowa, on Sunday, comparing them to previous wars.
"Vietnam, 21 years, thousands and thousands of people killed, hundreds of thousands of people killed," he said, "Afghanistan, years and years...we never fight to win."

"I don't know what we do," he added, "they're stupid, stupid presidents."
"I could have won the Vietnam War in a week, you know," he said. "They dropped whatever the hell that red c**p is that they...kept dropping it in the forest."
The audience yelled out "Agent Orange," to remind Trump of the name of the chemical herbicide the U.S. military used to destroy Vietnamese forests at the time.
"Agent Orange," Trump said, "even though it's red." "Agent Orange, they drop it in the forest for years and years and years, instead of going after Ho Chi Minh City and the different places," he continued. "I would have won that war in one week."
Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, was the capital of U.S.-allied South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
