President Donald Trump has said that Judge Ana C. Reyes will be held "fully responsible" for anyone who is "hurt or killed" on the East Potomac Golf Course, as a dispute over the president's plans to overhaul the historic Washington D.C. golf course escalates.
The president said in a post on Truth Social that the course was "dangerous, dilapidated, and absolutely disgusting," and said that golf balls soar through holes at a "high speed" hitting golfers, including a White House staffer who was "hit violently in the chest."
Judge Reyes, a Biden appointee, has moved on multiple occasions to block the administration's plans to renovate the site.

Earlier this week, Reyes agreed to extend an order blocking the administration's plans to renovate the site and has enacted a preliminary injunction that bars the government from removing or damaging trees at the site after hundreds were removed by the National Park Service in early October.
The Trump administration is seeking to renovate the 106-year-old public golf course into a championship-level golf venue, in the latest of a series of renovation efforts in the nation's capital, which have been met with repeated legal challenges.
Newsweek has contacted Reyes for comment outside of regular working hours via email.
