What Is Trump Doing in Texas? Schedule for the President and First Lady's Harvey Visit

President Donald Trump swapped his suit for a raincoat and khakis as he and his wife, first lady Melania Trump, left the White House for Texas on Tuesday. The Trumps were traveling to the Lone Star State to survey the damage and express their support after Hurricane Harvey slammed the coast over the weekend.
Even though Harvey has been downgraded to a tropical storm, the system was still causing what the National Hurricane Center called "catastrophic and life-threatening flooding" in Texas and Louisiana, with up to 13 inches of rain expected in some places through the end of the week. And the Trumps were heading right into it.

He vowed to go to Texas "as soon as that trip can be made without causing disruption" because "the focus must be life and safety."
