Trump Will Slam Biden and D.C. 'Swamp Creatures' in GOP Donor Retreat Speech, Says Top Advisor

Donald Trump's senior advisor, Jason Miller, on Saturday afternoon revealed that the former president intends to slam President Joe Biden and the "swamp creatures" in Washington D.C. during his keynote speech at the GOP donor retreat in Mar-a-Lago tonight.

Trump remains a key figure in U.S. politics despite losing the 2020 election to Biden in November. GOP leaders and donors arrived in Palm Beach this weekend for the Republican National Committee's (RNC) retreat, where Trump is expected to deliver an address on Saturday evening.

Miller joined Newsmax for an interview hours ahead of Trump's speech to detail issues that the ex-president will discuss at the event.

"I really think what tonight's going to be about is a reminder that we have to get back the House and Senate in 2022," he said. "Gotta make sure we elect a Republican in 2024. Obviously I'm biased to who I hope that would be, if President Trump does decide to run again."

Miller insisted that Trump will strongly criticize Biden and lawmakers in Congress.

"You're going to see President Trump go after Joe Biden again in very strong terms in regards to the border and the woke corporate cancel culture," he said. "What Joe Biden has done to the southern border is an absolute travesty."

Trump's "going to hammer Joe Biden for that fact that he wouldn't even do a joint session address, a state of the union address," Miller continued. "Joe Biden should be taking that opportunity to say, 'If you come to this country and come here illegally, you're going to get sent back.'"

"I think he'll go even a bit further in talking about the swamp creatures in Washington and what they're doing with H.R.1 ... You're going to hear some pretty tough words from President Trump."

The ex-president's senior advisor told viewers that Trump will also be discussing the future of populism. "You're going to hear President Trump talk a lot about populism," he said, "and not listening to the beltway insiders anymore. So populism will be a big key issue."

A Trump spokesperson directed Newsweek to Miller's appearance on Newsmax when contacted for further information about the former president's keynote address at the GOP donor retreat.

Trump's keynote address is expected to raise millions for the Republican Party. Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, and South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham will also be speaking at the donor event this weekend.
