Donald Trump Endorsed Ted Cruz. Now People are Pointing Out all of the Nasty Things He Used to say About Him
President Donald Trump's past Tweets have been used to contradict his recent endorsement of Republican Senator Ted Cruz as he defends a hotly contested election in November, according to Indy100 and Chron.
Trump shared his plans for a giant Cruz rally on Twitter Friday. "I will be doing a major rally for Senator Ted Cruz in October. I'm picking the biggest stadium in Texas we can find. As you know, Ted has my complete and total Endorsement. His opponent is a disaster for Texas - weak on Second Amendment, Crime, Borders, Military, and Vets!" the tweet read.

But many critics are pointing to Trump's older Tweets, when the two ran against each other in the Republican presidential primary.
"Why would Texans vote for "liar" Ted Cruz when he was born in Canada, lived there for 4 years-and remained a Canadian citizen until recently," Trump tweeted in February 2016. "Why would the people of Texas support Ted Cruz when he has accomplished absolutely nothing for them. He is another all talk, no action pol!" he tweeted again, days later.

Some also attacked Cruz's wife.
"Wow, Lyin' Ted Cruz really went wacko today. Made all sorts of crazy charges. Can't function under pressure - not very presidential. Sad!" Trump tweeted in May 2016.

During his campaign for the presidency, Cruz called Trump a "pathological liar" who is "utterly amoral," CNBC reported Friday.
The unlikely pair will join together in hopes of defeating Democrat Beto O'Rourke, who is running on a platform of increasing public school funding, increasing gun control and passing the DREAM immigration act, according to his website.
Cruz is running on a platform of protecting the second amendment, building Trump's wall on the border with Mexico and repealing Obamacare, his website explains.
