A mom from the Gold Coast, Australia, has shared the challenging reality of parenting two babies at once.
Sinead Finn, 34, listed all the "heartbreaking things" as a twin mom in a reel on Instagram (@sinead__finn_) including hearing them both cry out for her at the same time and having to choose who to go to first, trying to balance work and motherhood and feeling as though she's always failing one of her children.
"There's definitely guilt that comes with twin motherhood—guilt that you're not enough, that someone is always waiting, crying or missing out," she told Newsweek.

When Finn got the news that she was carrying twins, it was a total shock. "I think we said, 'You're joking?' to the doctor about 10 times," Finn said. "It was one of those moments where your whole life shifts in an instant."
One challenge that hit the new mom early on was realizing she'll never know what it's like to give her full attention to one baby.
"I constantly felt torn between two little humans who needed me equally," she told Newsweek. "I have rarely been able to fully soak in a moment or milestone without the other needing me at that exact moment."
Despite the challenges, Finn said her journey with motherhood has been 90 percent positive and has built her platform celebrating the joy of twin motherhood.
"I also think it's important to keep it real, and this video was one of those moments where I shared some of the emotional and painful challenges I've faced too," she said. "It's taught me to let go of perfection and realize that 'good enough' really is enough."
For Finn, watching the connection grow between her twins, who have just turned two, has been one of the most uplifting parts of motherhood.
"I also love that they'll always have each other, built-in best mates for life," she said. "And selfishly, I got to experience all the firsts twice. It's double the love, double the cuddles, and yes, double the nappies, but I wouldn't change it for the world."
Finn's reel, which has been viewed almost 4 million times, struck a chord with many other fellow moms of multiples.
Hundreds of Instagram users commented who resonated with the mom guilt she feels.
"I feel all of those, especially the crying one," one user wrote.
"Every. Single. One thank you for this sometimes you feel like you are alone on these," another said.
Finn told Newsweek that she's received messages from other twin moms who haven't known how to put their feelings into words before reading her post.
Overall, she's happy to have shared her experience. "I think sometimes people look at twins and just see the cute matching outfits and double strollers, but there's so much more going on behind the scenes," Finn said. "Vulnerability connects us in such a powerful way."
