Twitter Agog as 'Dancing With the Stars' Gets Tripped Up By Technical Issues

Twitter commenters couldn't believe the numerous technical issues that plagued the Monday night episode of "Dancing with the Stars."

At one point, the show played the incorrect video package. At another point, after a commercial break, the microphone of the show's host Tyra Banks was muted, completely silencing her introduction to the final group dance to Queen's "We Are the Champions."

Fans of the show commenting on Twitter made light of the glitchy production.

@tisthephanszn added, "help did anyone else's tv cut out when the judges starting judging melora #DWTS"

@TheNolaChick wrote, "Now no mic. A. Mess. #dwts".

@Earthtochenzita wrote, "The entire production of Dancing with the Stars is an absolute mess. They played the wrong clip??? #DWTS".

@aimeeb11 wrote, "#DWTS tonight" and included an animated GIF of a kitten belly-up against a background of color bars that sometimes appears on televisions when there's a severe technical issue.

@TheTerribleHook wrote, "The best part of watching this show is watching the scary technical glitches every week. There's got to be an open bar backstage. #DWTS".

Jennifer Mercado wrote, "Best part of #DWTS was when they had technical difficulties and we couldn't hear Tyra speak 🤣"

@danceonfordays wrote, "I really sat there yelling 'Tyra, you're on mute!' at my TV during that technical difficulty. I've been working from home for too long. #DWTS"

Competitor Suni Lee had been sick for most of the week leading up to the episode. When her performance ended, the dancer rushed offstage to handle her illness while her dance partner remained onstage to hear the judge's critiques. Banks revealed that Suni had stomach issues, which some fans considered a breech of potentially embarrassing private information.

@elizwildes wrote, "Omg did the show just mute Tyra?! #DWTS". Their post included an image of pop singer Britney Spears turning around with a headset microphone and smiling.

@hauber_katlynn wrote, "Even production got tired of Tyra talking #DWTS".

@septemberluv90 wrote, "Tyra without sound... this should be each week!!! #DWTS". They then included a video clip of Banks' muted intro.

@kelc456 wrote, "Someone said it was Freddie Mercury who muted Tyra's microphone on #dwts 😭😭😭 he probably did after they didn't do his vocals any justice".

@ampincivero tried to make do with the technical issues. She wrote, "🤣 I was trying to read her lips. It was probably something about Suni running to throw up. Or she was introducing the wrong clip! 👏👏👏 #DWTS #QueenNight 👑💃🕺"

@JaclynDeAug asked, "Is Tyra's mic gonna be on after this commercial break? #dwts".

For @sushi_sar, the technical issues were just one part of what was wrong with the program. The other issue for her was the dancers who ended up on the bottom two.
