Twitter Reacts to the First Elimination Episode of This Season of 'Dancing With the Stars'

On Monday, Dancing with the Stars contestants entered their second week of competition, and were required to do a tango or foxtrot to stay in competition—and for some that resulted in tricky footwork. Luckily, Twitter was there for the play-by-play—with some fans upset that only those on the United States' east coast get to vote.

Erin Andrews' fashion style was noted by fan @Christinelb563: "Could @ErinAndrews be any cuter with this face? Also, IN LOVE with this entire look from tonight's #DWTS I love those sleeves and loosely pulled back hair! @itsryanrandall you do her hair/wardrobe right? SPOT ON tonight! Super flattering look! Love you Erin," she said.

Many fans, meanwhile were upset that voting closed before the show aired in the Western or Mountain time zones.

"So we don't even get to vote because we're in the Mountain Time zone?? Thats pretty dumb @DWTSInteract" said fan Wendy Chavez.

"#dwts @DancingABC why am I watching if I can't vote? Why am I being penalized for living on the west coast?" said fan @dana_nichole

"Not fair! It's hasn't even aired out here in CA and the voting is closed! #DWTS sucks" said Sean Spicer fan 6ftmommy.

Speaking of Spicer, the man will live to dance for a third week. His tango resulted in a pithy comment from judge Bruno that "(he had) to admit, it looked like a tango!"

No one was more excited than ex-press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who tweeted: "If you are man enough to dance in this neon green ruffled shirt on national television you get all my votes! " while encouraging her fanbase to vote for him.

Most notable this week was a dance to Taylor Swift's song "Lover" by The Bachelor contestant Hannah Brown. The emotional dance struck a chord with viewers, and Bachelor host Chris Harrison stood and applauded in response to the feeling her movements evoked.

"Chris Harrison standing and cheering for @hannahbrown during #DWTS is the best supportive dad move ever and I love it," said Lindsay Jo Ann.

"Me when the opening chords of Lover played during Alan and Hannah's dance this week #DWTS #TeamAlanbamaHannah", said fan @kimrosa_, embedding a gif of Jonathan from Queer Eye with the caption "Okay it's totally fine, why am I crying?" to the comment.

Elsewhere, Lamar Odom, dancing his way to redemption after a scandal-filled year, has picked up some furiously impassioned supporters. "STOP BEING SO MEAN TO LAMAR HE IS TRYING HIS BEST," shouted Lamar fan Emily.

And Ally Brooke inspired Tweeter @AllyonDWTS, who quoted Brooke directly in their tweet. "Anyone that feels they are scared to do something bc they were made fun of, or bullied, I wanted you to know that you can do it. And I hope I can be an inspiration for you guys."
