Tyrese Gibson Shares Poignant Video From Mom's Death Bed—'Never Let My Hand Go'

Tyrese Gibson is mourning the loss of his mother and has shared a heartbreaking post announcing her death.

The Fast and Furious actor's mother Priscilla Murray died on Monday after being hospitalized with COVID-19 and pneumonia last week.

Earlier this month Gibson told fans his mother had been placed into an induced coma and asked them to pray for her recovery.

Before her death on Monday, he had been sharing updates on her experience in the ICU.

"On behalf of my family and everyone who ever spent anytime praying for my mother This is the saddest moment of my life.......... My sweet Valentine just passed away....." Gibson, 43, captioned the poignant video of himself holding his mom's hand in her hospital bed as he cried.

"May the lord Jesus Christ and his angels open the doors of heavens and embrace her.......... We as a family are broken and just can't believe this....... May the lord Jesus Christ honor your walk with him and embrace you into the heavens......." he continued.

"From here on I ask that you HOLD MY HAND MOTHER and never let my hand go.......... Like you held my hand as a child and a teen never let my hand go mother....." Gibson concluded. He is the youngest of four siblings.

In the video, Gibson can be heard saying reassuring words to his mother as he holds her hand from her hospital bed.

"Rest in peace mom," he says. "You fought mom. Oh my god I'm so sorry this happened, mom. I'm going to hold your hand for the rest of my life, ok? Everywhere I go, I'm going to hold your hand, the way you held my hand when I was a kid.

"Every journey this life takes me to from here on, you're going to hold my hand mom."
