U.S. Open Golf 2020: Friday Tee Times, Second Round Pairings at Winged Foot

After an opening day of contrasting fortunes, Justin Thomas, Tiger Woods and Collin Morikawa will again be side-by-side for the second round of the U.S. Open at Winged Foot in Mamaroneck, New York.

The trio will begin from tee No. 10 at 1:27 p.m. ET, with Thomas looking to defend the one-shot lead he opened on Thursday, when he finished with a 5-under 65. Woods, meanwhile, ended an erratic day at 3-over after carding just six pars, the joint-fewest he has ever hit in a round of a major championship.

Things went even worse for Morikawa, who finished at 6-over after the kind of nightmare round that all but ended his hopes of winning back-to-back majors after triumphing at the PGA Championship last month.

Patrick Reed and Matthew Wolff, who sit one shot behind Thomas alongside Thomas Pieters, will also begin their second round from hole No. 10, with Wolff teeing off at 8:18 a.m. alongside Rickie Fowler and Viktor Hovland, while Reed is set to hit the first shot of his second round at 1:16 p.m. alongside Hideki Matsuyama and Jordan Spieth.

Pieters, meanwhile, will tee off from the first tee at 7:01 a.m., with Rory McIlroy, Lee Westwood and Louis Oosthuizen, who trail Thomas by two shots after carding a 3-under on Thursday, also starting the second round from the same hole.

Westwood will be the first of the trio out on the course, teeing off at 7:34 a.m. ET alongside James Sugrue and Bubba Watson, followed by Oosthuizen, Zach Johnson and Keegan Bradley at 8:07 a.m. McIlroy, meanwhile, will be out on the course at 1:27 p.m. together with Adam Scott and Justin Rose.

World No. 1 Dustin Johnson, who like Woods finished a 3-over on Thursday, will begin the second round from tee No. 10 at 7:56 a.m. alongside Bryson DeChambeau and Tony Finau, both of whom finished at 1-under alongside world No. 2 Jon Rahm. The latter will follow the trio on tee No. 10, teeing off at 8:07 a.m. with Phil Mickelson and Paul Casey.
