The U.S. Open at Flushing Meadows will soon be underway with several players hoping to upset the odds and beat clear favourite Novak Djokovic to another grand slam, while Ashleigh Barty is the player to beat in the women's draw.
Fresh off the back of a sixth Wimbledon title, Djokovic is 5-7 with leading oddsmaker Betway to win in New York in what will be the final Grand Slam of the year.
Daniil Medvedev is now the second favourite at 4-1—down from 7-1 after injury forced Rafael Nadal to pull out—to deny Djokovic yet more silverware.
Then comes Alexander Zverev, one of the brightest prospects in the mens' game, with odds of 6-1. The 24-year-old was out at 10-1 at the start of August, but has seen his chances increase with the likes of Nadal and Roger Federer absent.
Potential outsiders at the U.S. Open include Stefanos Tsitsipas (9-1) and Matteo Berrettini (18-1).
Andy Murray, meanwhile, is 50-1 to win his fourth grand slam and second US Open, with the Scot still struggling to return to form following his injuries.

In the women's outright market, Ashleigh Barty, this year's Wimbledon winner, and Naomi Osaka lead the way, with the former slight favourite at 4-1.
Osaka, who didn't play at Wimbledon, is 9-2 to secure her fifth grand slam at the age of just 23.
The two frontrunners appear to be way ahead of the competition, with Aryna Sabalenka 10-1 to win the title.
Meanwhile, Bianca Andreescu and Iga Swiatek are outsiders with odds of 12-1, and the U.K.'s Heather Watson is a long shot at 150-1.

A Betway spokesperson said: "It's hard to look past Novak Djokovic at the US Open, particularly after his 20th grand slam win at Wimbledon last month and the absence of leading rival Rafa Nadal.
"The likes of Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev will have different ideas, but the world No 1 is the clear and obvious favourite in the betting at 5-7.
"Much is also expected of Naomi Osaka, 9-2 to add to her growing list of titles, and Ashleigh Barty following her success at Wimbledon."
