The View co-host Joy Behar appeared to back invoking the 25th Amendment against President Donald Trump amid escalating international tensions over Greenland.
"I think this is the end of it now for [Trump]. It has to be," Behar said on Tuesday's episode of the daytime talk show. "And Americans need to step up now. It's not enough to go into the streets. It's not enough to vote."
"It's time to do something about this guy, because he's leading us into World War III," she said.

Newsweek reached out to the White House via email for comment.
Why It Matters
The latest calls emerged amid tensions over Trump’s stated ambitions for Greenland, which drew pushback from members of both parties and heightened public debate about national security and the risk of wider conflict.
Behar's comments come as Trump's political opponents have moved to invoke the 25th Amendment. The key clause in the amendment, Section 4, allows the removal of a president against their will.
What Is the 25th Amendment?
The 25th Amendment, ratified in 1967, provides for the temporary transfer of power (Sections 3 and 4) and for succession in the event of a vacancy.
Section 4 allows the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet to deem a president unable to serve. It has never been used against a resisting president. No Cabinet member has thus far indicated they want to remove Trump from office.
What Did 'The View' Host Say?
On Tuesday's episode of The View, Behar said that voting and protesting aren't enough to oppose Trump, adding, "It's time to do something about this guy, because he's leading us into World War III."
Behar's comments were not the first time a View co-host called for the 25th Amendment to be invoked against Trump.
Whoopi Goldberg suggested on the September 24, 2025, episode that it “may be time” to invoke the 25th Amendment after Trump’s “unhelpful” United Nations General Assembly address, arguing that world leaders did not consider him seriously.
“He had a chance to deliver much more than what he did, and they don't consider him to be serious anymore," Goldberg said. "I'm worried. What’s the Amendment?...Well, they questioned [Former President Joe] Biden’s competence. If Biden had acted like this, I would have said, ‘Yeah, take him’...This was not presidential, and this was not helpful.”

What People Are Saying
Senator Rand Paul, a Kentucky Republican, said on NBC’s Meet the Press on Monday: “On the war powers, or on militarily invading Greenland, I’ve heard of no Republican support for that. Even the most hawkish members of our caucus have said they won’t support that.”
Representative Yassamin Ansari, an Arizona Democrat said on X on Monday: "The president of the United States is extremely mentally ill and it’s putting all of our lives at risk. The 25th Amendment exists for a reason—we need to invoke it immediately."
What Happens Next
The constitutional threshold for invoking Section 4 requires the vice president and a majority of principal officers of the executive departments to act, followed by potential congressional adjudication, making near-term action unlikely without internal administration support.
