Gold Cup 2019: How to Watch USMNT vs. Panama Live Stream, TV Channel, Odds

The group stage of the Gold Cup comes to an end on Wednesday, as the U.S. men's national team (USMNT) faces Panama to decide the winner of Group D.

Both teams have already secured a place in the quarterfinals by virtue of winning their first two games but the identity of the group winner is still to be determined.

The cautious optimism that accompanied the U.S. into the tournament has grown after the first two games, with a 6-0 thrashing of Trinidad and Tobago following a 4-0 win over Guyana in the opening fixture.

If the latter was expected, the manner in which USMNT thrashed the Soca Warriors boded well for their chances in the remainder of the tournament.

Bigger challenges lay ahead for the U.S. but new Chelsea signing Christian Pulisic, who was on target against Trinidad, suggested the defending champions will relish them.

"We enjoyed every moment of it," he was quoted as saying by ESPN. "Obviously the goals and everything flowed really nicely, so it looks good. We're going to have some bigger challenges ahead and we're more excited for those."

Captain Michael Bradley echoed his teammate's thoughts and warned challenges will only get bigger as the tournament progresses.

"The first two games have been good, but it's just a start," he explained. "We understand that as the tournament goes on, games get harder, things get more competitive and the level from everybody has to go up."

As the only team to beat the U.S. in the group stages in the history of the tournament, Panama has all the credentials to test the hosts on Wednesday.

Los Canaleros have beaten Trinidad and Tobago 2-0 and overcame Guyana 4-2 at the weekend but a superior goal difference means the U.S. just need a draw to top the group.

The winner of Group D faces the runner-up of Group C in Philadelphia on Sunday, while the second-placed team in Group D takes on Group C's winners.

The latter pool is also yet to be decided, with Jamaica and El Salvador joint top with four points, one ahead of Curacao.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of the USMNT's third game.

The Group D decider is scheduled to kick off at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 26 at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas.
