Video Shows Person of Interest in Fatal Stabbing of Florida Couple

A video captured the person of interest sought by police in the fatal stabbing of a Florida couple.

In a tweet on Tuesday, the Daytona Beach Police Department released a video of the person of interest, requesting the public's help in identifying the man.

"We're looking for this man in connection to the murders of a married couple this past weekend. He is a person of interest," the tweet said.

In the surveillance video, the person of interest can be seen wearing light-colored pants and what appears to be a cowboy hat. The Daytona Beach Police Department also released several pictures of the person of interest in which he can be seen wearing a backpack and red gloves.

"If you know who he is or where we can find him, please contact Detective Collin Howell at (386) 671-5257," the tweet said.

The release of the pictures and video comes just a day after Daytona Beach police reported that a married couple was found with their throats slashed on the side of the road on Sunday night.

In a press release, police said that they first received reports of the incident at about 1:57 a.m. local time on Sunday near the intersection of North Wild Olive Avenue and Riverview Boulevard. Police found 48-year-old Terry Aultman and 55-year-old Brenda Aultman on the floor, "both covered in blood and with multiple stab wounds and lacerations to their bodies."

"Paramedics declared both deceased at the scene within minutes of the initial 911 call," the press release said.

According to police, the 911 calls were made by a witness, who told officers that he found Terry Aultman face-down on the floor, while Brenda Aultman was found face-up in a grassy area near the sidewalk.

Police also found two bicycles in the area where the bodies were found, the release said.

While speaking with reporters on Monday, Daytona Police Chief Jakari Young said that police initially believed it was a hit-and-run situation.

"Upon arrival, once we observed the injuries, we quickly realized that this was anything but a hit-and-run. And we noticed the multiple stab wounds and that their throats had been slashed," Young said.

Young called it "one of the most vicious and gruesome incidents that I've witnessed in my 20 years."

"We will spare no expense and we will leave no stone unturned to make sure that this community is safe," Young added.
