War Raiders Make Monday Night RAW Debut as The Viking Experience

One NXT Tag Team made their Monday Night RAW debut on the first day of the Superstar Shake-Up, and it was The Viking Experience, formerly known as the War Raiders.

The Viking Experience were brought out in an eight-man tag match where "Ivar" and "Erik" teamed up with The Revival to take on Ricochet, Aleister Black, and the RAW Tag Team Champions, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins.

After a back and forth contest, The Viking Experience pinned Zack Ryder after their finisher the Fallout to pick up the victory for their team.

The Viking Experience were last seen at NXT Takeover: New York as the War Raiders where they defended the NXT Tag Team Championships - an accolade not brought up on commentary - against Aleister Black and Ricochet.

It's unknown the status of War Raiders on NXT television is, but it's likely the duo will do double duty as Black and Ricochet did.

The Viking Experience joins The Miz, Cedric Alexander and Andrade as new members of the RAW roster.

This isn't the first time the team formerly named Hanson and Rowe had their team name changed. When they arrived on NXT in 2018, their name War Machine was changed to War Raiders. While it took some getting used to, the NXT crowd would get behind the powerhouse team who would put on amazing matches against The Undisputed Era at NXT Takeover: Phoenix in January where they captured the NXT Tag Titles and the aforementioned New York match.

Before arriving in WWE, the duo wrestled in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling capturing tag team titles around the world.
