'The Voice' Eliminations: Who's Out and Who's In the Top 9 on Season 19?

America cast their votes and the top nine contenders of the 19th season of The Voice have been revealed.

Seventeen Season 19 contestants hit the stage in the first round of the live shows on Monday. Although all of the talented singers on coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Gwen Stefani and John Legend's teams delivered powerful performances, only nine of them were able to move forward in the NBC competition, which show host Carson Daly revealed during Tuesday night's results show.

Like past seasons, the results of the previous night's performances were broken down by teams. For each group, show host Daly announced the artist with the most votes from American viewers, leaving each coach with the responsibility of choosing one more contestant from their team to move forward in the competition. The remaining contestants were able to compete for the ninth spot with the wildcard instant save. Viewers in the U.S. were able to vote for their favorite artists during the flash round on Twitter.

The first set of results of the night came from Team Kelly comprised of Desz, Cami Clune, Tanner Gomes and Madaline Consoer. Desz won America over with her powerhouse cover of Tina Turner's "What's Love Got It Do With It" while Clarkson decided to move Clune on in the competition.

As for Team Gwen, 15-year-old Carter Rubin won the most of America's votes. Stefani decided to push forward the only country singer on her team, Ben Allen—who she stole from Shelton's team earlier in the season—leaving Payge Turner and Joseph Soul up for elimination.

Ian Flanigan had the most of America's votes for Team Blake, and while it was one of the toughest choices he's had to make so far this season, Shelton opted to move Jim Ranger on to the next round of the competition, leaving Taryn Papa, Sid Kingsly and the mother-daughter trio Worth The Wait up for elimination.

Team Legend member John Holiday received the most of America's votes, thanks to his stunning cover of "Fly Me to the Moon" by Frank Sinatra. Bailey Jade and Chloe Hogan were up for elimination after Legend chose to move Tamera Jade on to the top nine.

It was the end of the road for Consoer, Soul, Kingsley and Papa from Team Blake and Hogan after another round of results revealed the contestants with the lowest number of America's votes. That left Gomes, Turner, Worth the Wait and Rae up to compete for the instant wildcard save.

Each of the contestants gave their all in the final performances, but in the end, America voted to keep Rae in the running.

The top nine shouldn't get too comfortable though. A few of them will be up for elimination during next week's semifinals.

The Voice airs on NBC on Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET.
