Voter Registration Deadlines By State
With the U.S. presidential election on November 3 fast approaching, many Americans will be finalizing their voter registration.
However, with the coronavirus outbreak and hurricane season potentially keeping people away from election offices and post offices, some states have been granted extensions to allow voters to get their names down to vote.
Luckily for some state residents, they can register and vote on the same day of the election. According to the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), a total of 21 states plus the District of Columbia allow this type of registration—but is your state one of them?
Newsweek has rounded up all the deadlines for voter registration using information from the U.S. Vote Foundation to help Americans get their registrations in before the big day.
