Walmart Black Friday Ad: 2018 Online Sales, Hours, Deals, Map for Shopping Event Released

For years, people have lined up outside Walmart's doors on Black Friday hoping to score the best deals on the hottest ticket items. This year, Walmart is offering deals earlier than ever before and implementing new measures to make the start of the holiday shopping season easier for customers.

On Thursday, Walmart released its plans for Black Friday and in an email to Newsweek, the store said sales will start in store at 6 p.m. local time on Thanksgiving Day. However, customers who can't stand the wait any longer can shop Black Friday deals on as early as Wednesday, November 21, at 10 p.m. EST.

Ahead of the major sale event, Walmart added the Black Friday Store Maps to its mobile application, which offers customers an enhanced, color-coded map to help customers locate items easily.

"There really is no bigger or better day of the year than Black Friday; that's why we are pulling out all the stops to make it a great night for our customers," said Steve Bratspies, the chief merchandising officer of Walmart U.S, said in a press release. "We're more confident than ever that our customers will find incredible prices on everything on their holiday wish list at Walmart."
