What To Know

...
Walmart announced that Walmart+ members will get early access to its Black Friday deals, which will begin on Monday, November 24, at 7 p.m. ET, and also its Cyber Monday deals, which will start on Sunday, November 30, at 7 p.m. ET—the night before the event.
During Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Walmart will offer shoppers deals under $20, discounts of up to 60 percent (on certain brands), faster delivery—according to its press release, Walmart now reaches 95 percent of U.S. households in three hours or less. Customers can either shop for their deals in-store, online, or via the Walmart app, and they can choose items that are marked “pickup today” or “delivery today.”
Highlighted Black Friday deals include:
- A Blackstone 28-inch outdoor griddle, which will cost $157 (previously $224)
- A Dyson Supersonic Nural for $259.99 (down from $419.99)
- PlayStation controllers for $54 (they usually cost over $74)
Special Cyber Monday offers include:
- Callaway men’s 12-piece golf club set, which will be $359 (down from $499)
- Donner kids' electric drum set, which is normally $59.99, but will be $36.99 on Cyber Monday
- A Movado Men's Bold Large Sunray Dial Analog Quartz watch for $198.00 (it’s usually $297)
It also announced a new, festive campaign, which sees Walton Goggins return as the Grinch, to the Dr. Seuss-inspired WhoKnewVille.
What People Are Saying
Retail Expert Nicole Leinbach Hoffman previously told Newsweek that: “Inflation, cost pressures, tariff challenges, and other stressors such as debt and high interest rates have consumers budget-minded going into the holidays. E-commerce, I suspect, will continue to grow positively in sales, but I predict at a slower pace than in 2024 during the holiday season. Whether in-store or online, however, I think consumers will be seeking deals and shopping early—stretching out their spending and ultimately, pacing with 2024 but not exceeding total holiday sales by much, if any."
In Walmart’s press release, Walton Goggins said: “I’m excited to bring together Walmart's Black Friday Deals and Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch for the holidays. Is there a better combination? I don't think so.”
