U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has called on America to come together this Thanksgiving holiday.

In a near-two-minute-long video posted to his Twitter account, Donald Trump has said that when America is unified "there is nothing out of our reach."

He called on the American people to move forward and "restore the bonds of trust between citizens."

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. We will, together, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

"Let us boldly face the exciting new frontiers that lie ahead," he said.

"Emotions are raw and tensions just don't heal overnight," Trump says in the video. "It's my prayer that on this Thanksgiving we begin to heal our divisions and move forward as one country strengthened by shared purpose and very, very common resolve."

The president-elect is spending the Thanksgiving holiday with his family at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
