Watch Roseanne Barr's Hilarious, Combative Interview with Jimmy Kimmel About Supporting Trump: 'You Want Pence for the Freakin' President?'

Roseanne Barr's appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live Thursday quickly became combative as talk turned to politics. But the results were unintentionally hilarious.

Barr, whose classic 1990s sitcom Roseanne makes its return to ABC next week, appeared on the late-night talker with co-star John Goodman. The revival will focus largely on family dissent caused by the 2016 presidential election: Barr's character Roseanne Conner voted for President Donald Trump to the dismay of her children. That story arc may as well be ripped from real life, because the real Roseanne, too, voted for Trump.

Kimmel prodded Barr about both her voting record and her character's—and even questioned her about her one-time friendship with Trump's Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

"I think you accused her of being a murderer, didn't you?" asked Kimmel.

"I did not," fired back Barr.

"You know I'm going to find that tweet in the next 40 seconds…" continued Kimmel.

Barr bit back: "I deleted it, so fuck you."

The unapologetic comedian continued to let rip on Clinton, saying she disagreed with the former secretary of state's foreign policy.

Kimmel then said: "How about Captain Wacko we got running the country?"

Kimmel expressed shock that Barr, a "socially liberal person," voted for Trump.

Barr responded: "I'm still the same. You all moved. You all went so fucking far out you lost everyone. A lot of us, no matter who we voted for, we don't want to see our president fail."

Then Barr took Kimmel to task about the alternative to Trump: Vice President Mike Pence.

"You want Pence? You want Pence for the freakin' president?" Barr goaded Kimmel. When Kimmel responded, "No," Barr quipped: "Well, then, zip that fucking lip."

The revival of Roseanne premieres Tuesday on ABC after a 21-year absence. The original series ran on ABC for nine seasons.
