What Stores and Supermarkets Will Be Open on Christmas Day 2018? Hours for CVS, Walmart, Target and More

Whether you're searching for last minute gifts, need an extra ingredient for your Christmas Day brunch or just need an excuse to leave your house and escape your in-laws for an hour, there are plenty of stores open on December 25.

While your options are somewhat limited, we've compiled a list of nationwide stores that are open on Christmas Day.

Always be sure to call ahead before making your way to your local store. The house on this list are national, and certain stores of franchisees may not follow them.

Walmart, Target, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's will be closed on Christmas Day.

Is Target Open on Christmas Day?

CVS : Open from 8am to 9pm, except for locations inside Target stores. Locations that are typically open 24 hours will not be on Christmas Day, so be warned.

Walgreens : 24 hour locations will be open all day and night, and locations with limited hours should be open from 8:00am to 6:00pm.

Duane Reade : 24 hour locations will be open all day and night, and locations with limited hours should be open from 8:00am to 6:00pm.

Rite Aid : Most locations should be open 24 hours, even on Christmas Day. Just call ahead.

7-Eleven : Should be open 24 hours on Christmas Day.

Cumberland Farms : Locations will be open from 7:00am to midnight. On Christmas morning, the stores will offer free coffee and treats to customers.

Sheetz : The chain convenience story will be open 24 hours.

Albertsons : The grocery store will have limited hours, from 8:00am to 4:00pm on Christmas Day.

Circle K : The convenience store founded in El Paso, Texas will be open 24 hours.

Speedway : Most locations will be open 24 hours.

Casey's : This general store with plenty of food options will be open from 10:00am on.

Acme : Most locations of the grocery store will be open from 9am to 1pm.

Family Dollar : Stores should be open and operating at normal hours, but call ahead to find out if your local store is closing early.

Wawa : The majority of locations will operate with normal hours, including 24 hour stores.
