What Is 'The World's Best'? Reality Competition Airing After Super Bowl LIII

Following the conclusion of Super Bowl LIII Sunday, a talent competition show will make its debut on CBS.

The World's Best includes a star-studded panel of judges: RuPaul, Faith Hill and Drew Barrymore, alongside host James Corden. Unlike the majority of competition shows that only feature talents from across the nation, CBS' latest competition will showcase talents from across the globe—hence the title.

"The World's Best is a first-of-its-kind global talent competition that features acts from every genre imaginable, from every corner of the planet," the show's description reads. "[Contestants] not only have to impress the all-star line-up of American judges, but the acts will also need to break through the 'wall of the world,' featuring 50 of the world's most accomplished experts from every field of entertainment."

Only one act will be crowned with the ultimate title.

The show is scheduled to air approximately at 10 p.m. ET, following post-game coverage on CBS. For those traveling back home after the game, The World's Best will be streaming through CBS All Access.

"What a super combination – the world's biggest sporting event paired with the world's biggest talent competition," said Kelly Kahl, President, CBS Entertainment. "The World's Best is perfect post-Super Bowl programming for viewers of all ages. It features elite acts from around the world delivering jaw-dropping performances, a talented mix of fan-favorite judges and is produced by the most innovative minds in television, Mike Darnell (American Idol, Ellen's Game of Games), Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Voice), Ben Winston (The Late Late Show with James Corden) and James Corden, who also serves as our brilliant host."

CBS made the premiere announcement back in October of last year via Twitter: "It's the world's best news! @JKCorden will host, and @DrewBarrymore, @RuPaul and @FaithHill will serve as judges of the new global talent competition series, The #WorldsBest, coming to @CBS in 2019!"

While many acts are slated to perform during the premiere, it looks like judges already have a soft spot for the singing trio known as the TNT Boys.
