Where Is 'Dr. Pimple Popper' Subject Hilda Now? Update on Sandra Lee's Patient Who Had Bumps on Her Eyes

Thursday's episode of Dr. Pimple Popper will show Dr. Sandra Lee attempt to remove bumps that are obscuring a patient's vision. Hilda has had the growths on her eyelids and around her eyes for years and tried numerous times to get them removed but none of the surgeries have been successful. She's nearly given up but is traveling to see the famous dermatologist in hopes Lee can eliminate the bumps for good. The only problem is that Lee will have to use tiny tools extremely close to Hilda's eyes to excise the bumps, which is uncomfortable for her and the patient.

"I got surgery three times already and every time they would grow back. I kept hoping for someone to help me," Hilda says in a teaser clip, which was posted to TLC's Twitter page Wednesday.

"What do you got going on here you can barely see me, huh?" Lee says after seeing Hilda for the first time.

Lee is willing to help Hilda, but it's not going to be easy. "It's difficult to work around the eyes for me and the patient," she says. "Imagine you're awake and someone is holding such sharp objects."

According to the episode description provided to Newsweek from TLC, Hilda has suffered from blurry vision because of the growths. It's also led her to have low confidence. "She's been in a deep depression and feels like she's given up," the logline says. "Hilda hopes that Dr. Lee will be able to remove these bumps so she can get her confidence and her passion for life back."

So where is Hilda now? Lee was able to remove all of the growths from Hilda's eyes. Unfortunately, some of them came back, but the doctor wants Hilda to return so they can eradicate the bumps for good. Even though some of them came back, Hilda is thrilled with the results and considers them a blessing.

Aside from helping people and making them feel more confident about themselves, Lee was inspired to share her work with the rest of the world because dermatology is a "visual field." She started posted videos to Instagram and YouTube in 2014 and has more than 5 million subscribers. She calls her loyal fan base "popoholics," which are people who enjoy watching blackheads, cysts, growths and more drained, removed or cured.

"I thought people might want to see a little window into my world as a dermatologist because it's such a visual field. I thought it might go along with other food pics or travel pics. I was a little bit crazy to think that," she said with a laugh to Newsweek during a phone interview.

Don't miss Dr. Pimple Popper when it airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
