This is a developing story. Please check back for details.

The Dallas Police Department identified Armando Juarez as a person of interest in a Tuesday evening shooting that injured two police officers and one civilian. The shooting took place at a Home Depot in northeast Dallas at around 5 p.m. local time.

Police described Juarez, 29, as “armed and dangerous.” He reportedly left the scene in a white pickup truck, police said in a press conference. A search was underway to locate Juarez.

Two police officers were in critical condition after the shooting, police confirmed on Twitter. A third person, a civilian identified as a loss prevention officer at Home Depot, was also injured. The person's condition remained unknown.

“What we know right now is that there was an off-duty officer working at Home Depot who called for assistance for an arrest,” Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall said in a press conference. “That’s when our officers showed up. We do believe the person of interest is armed at this time. I do not have all the details of how he was able to get a gun and shoot all three of the officers at the Home Depot location. We’re still investigating and reviewing video.”

Authorities had not yet released the names of those who were shot. The injured were being treated at Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas.

Dallas Police asked anyone with information about Juarez's whereabouts or the shooting to call 911.
