Who Is Performing at the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards?

Wednesday, The Academy of Country Music announced the musicians performing at their awards ceremony on September 16th. When the 2020 Country Music Awards air on CBS at 8/7c, these performers will play their latest hits from three different Nashville venues: The Bluebird Cafe, The Ryman Auditorium, and The Grand Ole Opry House.

At the Bluebird Cafe

Tim McGraw will perform his current single, "I Called Mama." Added as a performer, Jimmie Allen will sing the second track, "Make Me Want To," off of his debut album, Mercury Lane. Also at this cafe, Luke Combs is expected to perform "Better Together" from his sophomore album, What You See Is What You Get. Miranda Lambert will be joined by songwriters Natalie Hemby and Luke Dick to perform her smash hit, "Bluebird."

At the Ryman Auditorium

Country singer Kelsea Ballerini will entertain audiences with a performance of "Hole in the Bottle." Gabby Barrett will also be there to play her first single, "I Hope," from her debut album, Goldmine. Thomas Rhett and Jon Pardi will participate in the fun by playing their duet track, "Beer Can't Fix."

Old Dominion, Maren Morris, Riley Green, and Tenille Townes are also listed as performers at the Ryman.

At the Grand Ole Opry House

Performers lucky enough to grace country's answer to Carnegie Hall will be announced at a later date. Hopefully we will find out before the ceremony airs next month.

Available for streaming on CBS All Access, the 55th Academy of Country Music Awards will be hosted by superstar artist Keith Urban.

Not only will Townes and Green be performing, they have also been crowned with their own awards. Last Thursday, the ACM named Townes as New Female Artist and Green as New Male Artist for this year's awards ceremony. Urban made the announcements while making a video call to each winner.

"When we had to come off the road back in March, I wasn't sure what the rest of 2020 would look like. So much has happened in the world since then and I'm really excited to have a moment to play music again," said Green in his press release.

"We hope this is a memory that they will carry with them as their careers continue to thrive. A huge congratulations to all of this year's well-deserving nominees and a special thank you to the artists' teams who helped the Academy pull off the surprise, especially our host Keith Urban for making this moment monumental," stated Damon Whiteside, the CEO of the Academy of Country Music.

"We can't wait to see Riley and Tenille on the 55th ACM Awards stage on Sept. 16!" added Whiteside.
