A man shaved his beard off after seven years without warning his wife, and her reaction has left the internet in stitches.
The video, shared on Instagram earlier in September under the username @hannahwitton, shows footage of the poster laughing and crying at the same time, drying tears from her eyes as her husband walks in with his new look.
"When your husband shaves his beard off for the first time in 7 years with no warning," says the layover text on the clip.

At the end of the video, the poster compared a picture of her husband with his beard with one of him without it.
"Shock of my life. Our toddler's reaction was 'daddy what you do your face?' and 'daddy don't do it again,'" she wrote in the clip's caption.

Statistics by Worldmetrics.org published in July show that over 55 percent of men in the U.S. have facial hair, and the average man spends 139 days of his life shaving. Moreover, the average man's beard grows 5.5 inches in a year.
While 67 percent of men believe that a beard makes them more attractive, only 33 percent of women agree. But beards have more purposes than that. They can reduce the risk of sunburn, protect against skin cancer, and some have suggested they can decrease the number of asthma attacks.
However, there are negative aspects as well. Beards can trap bacteria and even fecal matter, as well as dust and pollen.
The video quickly went viral on social media, getting viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 3.2 million views and over 51,000 likes on the platform.
One user, Jem_113, commented: "Excuse me, there's a stranger in your house! (Mad how facial hair can completely change someone's appearance!)."
Xcalissa said: "This was a fantastic bit of content 10/10 would giggle again. The Lotr music you put over it made me think he looks kinda like Orlando Bloom??????? Never thought that before!"
Binge.eating.dietitian wrote: "Whaaaat! Such a transformation! Imagine he had cut off his long hair too."
N.h.b_17 added: "I thought this was gonna be much worse but he doesn't look that bad! I'm sure it's still jarring when you get so used to it and I have been there too."
