Earlier this month, Newsweek reported about an angry customer who threw hot soup at an employee's face. Just last week, the woman, also dubbed a "Karen" was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily injury.

Amanda Nicole Martinez, 31, was arrested following the assault in Temple, Texas, on November 7. The altercation began after Martinez complained to a staff member about the soup she ordered.

Martinez told the staff that her soup was too hot and caused the plastic lid on top to melt, KWTX10 reported.

In a video of the altercation which was posted to TikTok and viewed more than 7.8 million times, Martinez picked up the soup and threw it at a female employee's face. She then allegedly left the restaurant.
