Every so often, a new product for children will hit the market and make adults wonder why they're left out of the fun—but one man online has refused to be left out.

A video posted to TikTok by @mercedeesedwards has gone viral for revealing the new purchase she made for her toddler, and the unexpected fan it has found in her boyfriend. Since the video was posted on June 6, it has received 1.2 million views and over 130,000 likes.

"POV: You watch your boyfriend reluctantly love your recent 'dumb toddler' purchase...He barely let me eat any of the snacks either," she captioned the video. "I think it's safe to say we need another GoBe."

A child eats her lunch outside

...

The video shows the creator's boyfriend enthusiastically spinning the top of the GoBe snack contraption to reveal different containers.

"Do you like it?" she asked her boyfriend in the video.

"I guess it's not as dumb as I thought," he responded, presumably admitting that he was the one who badmouthed the purchase.

In the comments, some asked why the container had a spinning top. Others clarified that the product only opens one snack compartment at a time, so that the other snacks don't spill or get contaminated. One person even pointed out that the spinning function can make a food-avoidant child excited about eating.

Viewers in the comments were mostly endeared by her adult boyfriend's excitement about the device, though.

"One of the best feelings in the world is getting something your boyfriend says is useless and then he loves using it," @ajiacraft wrote.

"Why are they all the same?" @niceadobo wrote. "Mine wants some drawing stuff as well. I also got him a coloring book."

"I love seeing guys healing and realizing 'girly' stuff is for them to enjoy as well," @erikaamairanii wrote. "Makes me feel warm and fuzzy."

Some wanted the GoBe for themselves, ignoring his enthusiasm altogether: "Consider me influenced. I need one for my snackies that I hate getting mixed together," @eeriedescent wrote.

The creator could relate. In another video, she rated the snacks in the GoBe spinner for enthusiastic viewers. Coming in near the top with a nine out of 10 was a mini charcuterie section of crackers, cheese and sausage. Chocolate quinoa crisps didn't do so well—the pair were at the beach, so the chocolate melted. Almonds and trail mix fell in the middle of the pack because they were boring and bland.

In the end, though, the creator revealed a big plate of hot food she rated a nine out of 10—which killed her appetite for the spinning snacks altogether.
