Woman Caught Boyfriend Cheating Moments After Giving Birth in Viral Video
A woman went viral after revealing she caught her boyfriend cheating on her with another woman just hours after giving birth to their son.
The woman, who goes by @aubrecita, uploaded her story to TikTok where it garnered more than 6.7 million viewers and 3,700 comments in four days with people criticizing her boyfriend for cheating.
But infidelity is more common with couples who are expecting a child than one would expect. An estimated 10 percent of fathers-to-be cheat on their partner, according to psychologist Robert Rodriguez.
Many experts say that although there is not one specific reason people cheat, a common factor includes their partner experiencing a lower sex drive during pregnancy. Due to some couples experiencing less sex during pregnancy, some partners seek sex outside of the relationship.
Although the woman explained that the incident occurred nine years ago, she said one thing she is still thankful for is the fact that she was not married to the man and that she quickly dumped him.
"Feeding my hours-old baby in the hospital, the nurses asked me to record the times that he ate so I grab my sleeping boyfriend's phone to check the time," the on-screen text read.
In the video, @aubrecita sat outside and looked at the camera as a popular TikTok remix played in the background. As the chorus for the song comes in, the screen switches to a picture of the phone screen.
The screensaver on her boyfriend's phone is of their newborn baby. On the screen is also an unread text from a woman named Marissa that read "come cuddle" with a kiss emoji.
Many commenters approached @aubrecita's video with humor while others were quick to ask her if she broke up with her cheating boyfriend.
"I swear to god if I see this I will throw my placenta at his head I'm not even kidding," one user commented.
"He really had the audacity to set his screensaver to his newborn too," another wrote. "So we was probably getting texts from her and at the same time could see the baby you guys had together. I'd be absolutely pissed."
"*crosses Marissa off the baby name list *," another user joked.
"I would have asked the nurse to take the baby to the nursery for a little bit and went through that entire phone," one user said.
Some users also called out Marissa for texting a taken man, but @aubrecita quickly responded that Marissa had no idea about her or the fact that she had just given birth to his baby.
@Aubrecita said that once Marissa found out, she "jumped ship."
"Honestly Marissa was innocent she didn't know!!!" @aubrecita said. "Plus he was texting like 3 other girls so she was getting played too."
Newsweek reached out to @aubrecita but did not receive a comment in time for publication.
