Woman Left Devastated After Nobody Turns up to Her 'Friendsgiving' Meal

Thanksgiving is a holiday when we all count our blessings, however one woman on TikTok spent part of her day feeling less than positive.

In a video that was shared by her boyfriend, known on the app as Kidalloy, we can see a woman sitting in her home devastated after none of her friends turned up to her "Friendsgiving" meal.

The footage, which has since gone viral with more than 14.7 million views, begins with the man filming her basement which has been decorated for the holiday, with spreads of food and the tables set with festive cloths, plates and cups.

Text overlaying the footage reads: "My girlfriend was so excited for her first Friendsgiving but no one showed up."

The camera then pans across the room to show the woman sitting looking forlorn at the table.

Her boyfriend then explains: "She decorated the whole basement and cooked so much food."

He then shakes his head, before adding: "I keep trying to cheer her up but nothing is working."

Kidalloy has captioned the tear-jerking video, which can be watched here, writing: "I'm so sad for her #friendsgiving #thanksgiving #friends."

The sad clip has gained lots of traction online since it was posted on November 20, having been liked by a staggering 1.3 million people and more than 22,500 shares.

Many social media users also rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts on the video and offer messages of support to the woman.

One TikToker, Chris Saphire, wrote: "Honey I am so sorry this happened to you. Your set up looked awesome! Shoot, I would have turned up with you in a heartbeat if I was your neighbor."

Another person, Maribel Silva, added: "She needs new friends. Sorry baby girl, wish you all the best. We can be virtual friends."

Realbrittanydawson typed: "My husband and I would have come! Tell her that."

Sofia Bella commented: "I'll be your friend. I wish I has a Friendsgiving this year."

In a follow-up video, shared two days later, the man then explained that his girlfriend's day had thankfully picked up, saying: "She had called me and told me what happened, so I started heading over to her house.

"On the way there I had called my friends."

"They were more than gracious enough to come. They all came, they brought stuff. So it's like she had her own Friendsgiving. So it was a happy ending towards the end of it," he revealed.
