'World of Dance' Season 3 Episode 6: The Duels 2 Recap and Results

World of Dance Duels round 2 begin tonight. Find out who gets eliminated and who moves on to the Cut, here.

World of Dance Duels rounds continue Sunday, March 24 at 8 p.m. EDT as more acts pair up to compete for a spot in The Cut. Last week, 10 teams from the Upper Division faced off, with six moving to the next round. This week will see Junior Teams division dancers take the stage.

How The Duels Work

If you aren't familiar with how the Duels work, the highest-scoring acts in each of the four divisions (Junior, Junior Team, Upper, Upper Team) choose their opponents. Each act performs for judges who submit their scores based on their five-point scoring system. The team with the highest average will move on to the next round, The Cut, and the losing act is eliminated.

How The Redemption Round Works

This year, The World of Dance added a new twist to The Duels called the Redemption Round. After each set of duels is completed, the two eliminated acts with the highest score will once again take the stage to battle for redemption. After this final duel, the act with the highest score will earn redemption and join the other five winning acts in moving forward to The Cut.

As soon as tonight's show kicks off, we'll add live updates and recap information about who made it through and who was eliminated. In the meantime, if you missed last week's Duels, you can check out a rundown of which acts moved forward and which were eliminated below.

Elektro Crew NBC

MKAM is up first. The team is performing without one of its key dancers so they are nervous but put on their very best performance. The act includes a lot of tricks and jumps that grab Jennifer's attention.

"I love the energy," said Ne-Yo.

"I loved that you guys had great formations ... it's always a good idea to have something the audience can keep their eyes on ... good job," said Jennifer.

"That was a very strong performance," said Derek.

Behind MKAM is the Elektro Crew who perform a powerful routine that has a dangerous and frightening vibe that was reminiscent of Thriller.

"I saw a lot of improvement tonight," said Ne-Yo. "The energy was good, but you were slightly off from each other at times."

"When MKAM first came out, I was nervous for you all, but you fought back," said Derek. " I felt the texture of your movement was better."

The Judges' scores were as follows:

MKAM (Hip Hop) - ELIMINATED

#4 Dancetown Divas vs. JDC

First on stage are the Dancetown Divas. In earlier rounds, the judges gave the Latin dance group feedback to clean up their routines and that's what these ladies are hoping to do. Coming on stage with deep red costumes and gemmed headdresses that gave them an Egyptian vibe the performance was fierce though somewhat simple, and earned a lot of praise from the judges.

"You ladies came out so clean, so together and unified," said Derek.

"I felt every single moment of that," said Ne-Yo.

"The music choice was excellent," said Jennifer.

Up next is JDC, performing to Jessie J's "Who Are You." The song talks about looking at one's reflection and the girls incorporate mirrors into their routine. The routine was technical with tons of tricks and synchronized movements. It looks like a hands-down win for JDC.

"That was such a beautiful piece … it soared," said Jennifer.

"[The mirror] was a perfect prop for the piece and you used it perfectly," said Ne-Yo.

"Watching you was so exciting and excruciating," said Derek.

The judges' scores were as follows:

Dancetown Divas (Latin/Ballroom) - Promoted to The Cut via Redemption Round

  • Ne-Yo - 96.0
  • Jennifer - 95.0
  • Derek - 94.0
  • Overall - 95.0

JDC (Contemporary) - Promoted to The Cut

  • Ne-Yo - 98.0
  • Jennifer - 95.0
  • Derek - 95.00
  • Overall - 96.0

#5 The Crazy 8's vs. West Springfield Dance

Crazy 8's NBC

Up first are the Crazy 8's. The contemporary group are the top scoring group in the Junior division and their routine makes it clear why this is the case. The young performers are quite strong technically and they threw in some pretty epic flips as well.

"You're like a group of little attack monster," said Jennifer. "You're pretty amazing."

"You guys are so tiny, but when you are on that stage you're huge," said Derek. "Well done."

Despite the other judges' gushing reviews, Ne-Yo offered some constructive criticism.

"I felt like as good as you are, there should have been a lot more happening in the transition because you guys have it," said Ne-Yo.

Following Crazy 8's is West Springfield Dance. The routine is focused on a crazy clown them and the theatrical nature of the routine was entertaining.

"I have the hot, cold, everything shakes vibe," said Derek. "I'm terrified of clowns!"

"I really liked this routine," said Jennifer. "It's a little dark, but I like it."

"From a technical standpoint, the movement wasn't super strong," said Derek.

"Win, lose or draw, we'll never forget you all," said Ne-Yo, "but not everyone one was doing the same thing at the same time. It needed to be cleaner," said Ne-Yo.

The Judges' scores are as follows:

Crazy 8's (Contemporary) - Promoted to The Cut

  • Ne-Yo - 94.0
  • Jennifer - 92.0
  • Derek - 94.0
  • Overall - 93.3

West Springfield Dance (Hip -Hop) - ELIMINATED

  • Ne-Yo - 92.0
  • Jennifer - 89.0
  • Derek - 87.0
  • Overall - 89.3
