After a week off, World of Dance returns Tuesday, July 10 and features the sixth round of qualifiers. During tonight's episode, talented dancers of all ages will once again take the stage to impress the judges, moving one step closer to the million-dollar grand prize. Episode five featured a variety of dance styles and groups, showcasing everything from Ballroom to Afrodance. In the end, six of the seven acts received scores of 80 or above, earning them a spot in the upcoming duels. This week, six more acts will perform in hopes of moving on to the next stage of the competition.

If you aren't familiar with how judging works on World of Dance, acts are assessed in five key areas: Performance, Technique, Choreography, Creativity and Presentation. Dancers can earn up to 20 points in each from a judge. Once all judges' scores are in, they are averaged, yielding the final score, which must be above 80 to stay in the competition.

As soon as tonight's show kicks off, we'll be adding live updates and recap information about who made it through the sixth night of qualifiers.

The first duo to take the stage is DNA, a pair of ballroom dancers who were featured in Season 1 but eliminated during the Duels. Back more determined than ever, the pair owns the stage.

The second act of the evening was a hip-hop group from Canada that has been dancing together for over seven years and the experience was clear in their tight and coordinated movements. Thier smooth moves even got a shout out or two from Derek during the performance.

"You guys were clean, it was intricate and I liked the used of your props, but keep upping your game," said Derek. "I wanted more of the props," said Ne-Yo. He encouraged the group to get away from their "cheerleader" type expressions. Jennifer also felt the performance was missing something gritty, but overall she thought the performance was good.

The judges' scores were as follows:

  • Jennifer - 75.0
  • Ne-Yo - 85.0
  • Derek - 81.0
  • Overall score: 80.3

The third act of the evening was teenage contemporary dancer Vivian Ruiz. Coming fresh off her first heartbreak, Vivan's dance was all about working past the pain. The performance was graceful and lovely and the judges voiced their appreciation. "That was a beautiful dance," said Derek. "It was elegant and I hope it was cathartic for you."

"I love the softness and delicacy of that," said Jennifer.

The judges' scores were as follows:

  • Jennifer - 83.0

The fourth group of Latin Fusion dancers featured Diangelo, a young ballroom dancer from Season 1. After being eliminated during the Duels, Diangelo was back with a point to prove. The routine was fierce but a little too over the top. Nonetheless, the judges enjoyed it.

"I am getting so much joy just looking at you in those outfits and all that latino energy. I loved it. You have the makings of something exciting and different," said Jennifer.

"There were times when I didn't know where to look. Energy without focus is chaos, so keep refining it," said Ne-Yo.

The judges' scores were as follows:

  • Jennifer - 87.0
  • Ne-Yo - 89.0
  • Derek - 90.0
  • Overall score: 88.7

#5 - St Kingz (Upper Team)

This group brought a strange combination of humor and dance but unfortunately, it didn't have enough dance quality to impress the judges.

"It took too long to get to the dancing," said Derek.

"It felt like it showmanship vs technique," said Ne-Yo.

"The routine was cute and tons of personality but it needed to go to another level," said Jennifer.

The judges' scores were as follows:

  • Jennifer - 79.0
  • Ne-Yo - 78.0
  • Derek - 80.0
  • Overall score: 79.0 - they will not move on.

#6 - Ashely and Zack (Upper)

This amazingly talented pair of contemporary dancers had a lot of experience to recommend them, including having gone on tour with Derek. Thier performance was absolutely on fire.

"It was sensual without being raunchy. Tastefully done," said Ne-Yo.

"Your performance was clean but be careful with your song choice," said Jennifer.

"I love the emotion between the two of you," said Derek.

The judges' scores were as follows:

  • Jennifer - 84.0
  • Ne-Yo - 84.0
  • Derek - 87.0
  • Overall score: 85.0

An adorable group of contemporary dancers, these girls gave a heartfelt and impressive performance.

"From the very first moment ... it was powerful. It was true artistry. Your technique was beyond your years," said Jennifer.

"The emotion was real, but your foundation of dancing was so strong it allowed the emotion to come through even stronger," said Derek.

"This was genuine emotion. Elegant and powerful," said Ne-Yo.
