The world's smallest known fly is named after one of the world's biggest names in bodybuilding: Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Entomologist Brian Brown of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County discovered a new insect species and paid tribute to the Hollywood star and former California governor as well as Mr. Universe title holder, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The fly is named Megapropodiphora arnoldi and reaches only 0.395 mm in body length. But the insect's forearms are reminiscent of Schwarzenegger, whom Brown personally is a fan of, as the researcher told

"As soon as I saw those bulging legs, I knew I had to name this one after Arnold," he said in the story. "Not only is he a major cultural icon and an important person in the political realm, his autobiography gave me some hope that I could improve my body as a skinny teenager."

Brown wrote more about this tiny creature in the Biodiversity Data Journal, published Wednesday. Unlike the other Arnold, this species hails from Brazil. It's characterized by a very large head and forearms, but small mid and hind legs. Its wings are mere stubs.

"The specific epithet refers to Arnold Schwarzenegger, former governor of California, whose own greatly enlarged forelimbs distinguished him in his pre-political careers," Brown wrote.

Megapropodiphora arnoldi displaces Euryplatea nanaknihali, formerly considered the world's smallest fly. That species is found in Thailand.

According to the story, the fly is likely parasitic, living on ants or termites. He came to the conclusion partly because of the the fly's sharp ovipositor, an organ at the end of the stomach used to lay eggs. He also believes that these insects suction onto their hosts until they arrive safely to a nest where they can further attach themselves onto their hosts.

The other, more well-known Arnold, is also talked about for his impressive prowess. According to a short biography featured on The Guardian, Schwarzenegger won his first Mr. Universe bodybuilding competition at only 20 years old. He held the Mr. Universe title a total of four times, according to the National Amateurs Bodybuilders Association, the organization that holds the competitions. He also went on to become Mr. Olympia, which is one of the most impressive feats in bodybuilding.

No word yet on what Arnold thinks about his new namesake.
