Wrestler Daffney Unger Sparks Concern After Discussing Suicide in Unsettling Video
Wrestler Daffney Unger has sparked grave concern among friends and fans, after she was seen discussing suicide on Instagram Live late Wednesday night.
A snippet of the unsettling broadcast was saved and shared on Twitter, showing Unger, real name Shannon Claire Spruill, sobbing uncontrollably.
In the video, the 46-year-old was seen saying: "Do you guys not understand that I am all alone? Do you not understand that?"
As her phone vibrated multiple times, she repeatedly said: "Just stop. Just please stop," before apologizing and saying "I love you."
A message posted on a Twitter account called Skulls Media, which shared the video, read: "Disturbing content warning - Daffney (Unger) went live on Instagram and many have feared that she is suicidal, holding what appeared to be a small pistol on the stream. If you or someone you know needs help call 800-273-8255."
"I'm not taking it down - if this saves even one person's life, it's worth losing all the followers, it's worth having no followers at all," read a follow-up tweet. "LIFE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN SOCIAL MEDIA.
"What I am going to do is take a break from Twitter. Social media often CAUSES things like this."
I've been told emergency services have been dispatched to a couple of known addresses, and are still making efforts to contact her.
