Wrestlers Brawl in Urban Meyer's Office at Jacksonville Show on Sunday

It's been a while since Urban Meyer worked in Florida, but it's looking like he's getting settled in to being a Florida man once again. On Sunday night in Jacksonville, the new Jaguars coach handed one professional wrestler a laptop to use as a weapon on an opponent.

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) held its Double or Nothing 2021 pay-per-view event Sunday at TIAA Bank Field, and one scene of destruction took place inside the stadium where Meyer and assistant head coach Charlie Strong were.

Wrestling star Chris Jericho of the Inner Circle matched up with MJF of The Pinnacle, and the knock-down, drag-out fight reached the innards of the stadium, right into an office where Meyer and Strong were.

Meyer appeared to be startled when Jericho and MJF appeared in the office, and Jericho slammed MJF down through a nearby desk. Jericho then slowly walked toward the coaches, and Strong then tossed a football to the wrestler. Jericho then whizzed the ball at MJF, knocking him to the ground again. Jericho got another football from Strong, this time firing a spiral into MJF's face.

Jericho looked toward the desk where Meyer stood, and the wrestler pointed at a laptop computer and said something. Meyer handed the laptop to Jericho, who turned around and slammed the computer into MJF's back. As MJF looked to stand up straight again, Jericho delivered another laptop blow to his opponent.

The match was part of the AEW main event between Inner Circle and The Pinnacle in what's called a stadium stampede match. The Inner Circle won the overall match.

Double or Nothing is the premiere event for AEW, and Florida has become a popular place for sports leagues to revive after long COVID-19 delays, or having games without fans.

Meyer himself is getting back to coaching after leaving the college ranks and taking the job as an NFL coach of the Jaguars this last offseason. The team drafted Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence as the No. 1 overall pick in late April, and they made more news last week after signing former quarterback Tim Tebow as a tight end for the team.

Meyer was the head coach at the University of Utah before taking the same position at the University of Florida, a team he won two national championships with in 2006 and 2008. Tebow won the Heisman Trophy there in 2007 before guiding the Gators to a title the next year.

Meyer retired from coaching after the 2010 season, only to take the head coaching position at Ohio State two years later. He guided the Buckeyes to the inaugural College Football Playoff in 2014 as the No. 4 seed.

Meyer retired from coaching again after the 2018 season, and he worked for FOX's college football pregame show during that time.

Strong was an assistant coach at Florida prior to Meyer getting hired in Gainesville, and Strong was the only assistant coach retained by Meyer. Strong went on to become the head coach at Louisville and then the University of Texas, and most recently at South Florida.
