WWE Mae Young Classic 2018 Dates, Ticket Information Announced

The second annual Mae Young Classic has finally been scheduled. The WWE announced the company's second all-women's tournament will tape on Wednesday, Aug. 8 and Thursday, Aug. 9 at Full Sail Live in Orlando.

A total of 32 competitors from 12 different countries will participate in the single-elimination tournament. The Mae Young Classic will stream exclusively on the WWE Network later this summer.

"We are thrilled to once again present the Mae Young Classic and provide a global showcase for 32 of the top female talent from around the world," Paul "Triple H" Levesque, WWE Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events & Creative said in a press release. "Last year's event was a significant milestone in WWE's Women's Evolution, and I am confident this year's event will break even more barriers."

Last year, the first Mae Young Classic went down on July 13 and 14, premiering on the WWE Network at the end of August into September with the final match airing live. Broadcast details were not revealed, but fans can expect a similar format to last year's tournament. We will update as soon as we get more information.

Tickets for the second Mae Young Classic will go on sale Friday, June 22 starting at 10 a.m. EDT at the NXT Tickets website.

Confirmed competitors for the Mae Young Classic 2018 have not been announced but many returning wrestlers from last year's tournament are rumored to be involved, including Toni Storm.

The first Mae Young Classic introduced the WWE Universe to some of the world's best women's wrestlers including the aforementioned Toni Storm, Dakota Kai, Lacey Evans, Bianca Belair and Kairi Sane. Sane would go on to win the first Mae Young Classic after defeating Shayna Baszler in the finals. Many of these women would go on to be a big part of NXT (Baszler is currently the NXT Women's Champion).
