WWE Super Show-Down Adds The Shield, and Daniel Bryan vs The Miz

The card for WWE's Super Show-Down is beginning to take shape. Three matches were confirmed for the show, which takes place in Australia this October, and will have some of the company's biggest stars including John Cena, Daniel Bryan and the recently reunited faction The Shield.

Following the Monday Night RAW and SmackDown Live shows after SummerSlam 2018 the WWE announced a tag match between John Cena and Bobby Lashley against Elias and Kevin Owens as well as The Shield being in action at Super Show-Down. An opponent for the trio of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose was not revealed, but as the story of The Shield's reunion plays out on RAW fans will likely get an idea as to who will stand up to them.

However, the match with the biggest implications (so far) at Super Show-Down is the singles match between Daniel Bryan and The Miz for a shot at the WWE Championship.

Here are some details for the confirmed matches at WWE's Super Show-Down scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 6.The live broadcast airs at 4 a.m. EDT on the WWE Network.

John Cena has been very busy making movies since he last stepped into the ring against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 34. However, he'll team up with Bobby Lashley to take on Elias and Kevin Owens.

Elias and Lashley have been involved in an on-again, off-again feud while Kevin Owens was unceremoniously squashed by Braun Strowman in their match at SummerSlam. KO does have a history with Cena though, and the two have great chemistry in the ring, so fans should be excited for this matchup.

At SummerSlam, The Miz took the first match in what WWE fans hope is a long feud between him and Daniel Bryan. After Bryan's wife Brie Bella took down The Miz and his wife, Maryse, on SmackDown the four will square off in a mixed tag match at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view in September.

In a WWE.com exclusive, Miz challenged Bryan to a singles match at the Super Show-Down with the winner receiving an opportunity at the WWE Championship, currently held by AJ Styles.

The reunited Shield was the talk of the wrestling world Monday night and the WWE is looking to ride that wave into the Super Show-Down. The Shield will do battle together, but their opponents remain unknown. Money in the Bank briefcase holder Braun Strowman was the first superstar to run into the reformed faction, which reunited on RAW to attack Strowman and prevent him from cashin-in his briefcase for a shot at Reign's WWE universal Championship.

Perhaps the Monster Among Men will gather his own allies to take down the Hounds of Justice.
