'Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links' Duelist Challenge Solutions: How to Solve New Quizzes

From December 21-27, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links players can take on five new Duelist Challenges to test their dueling skills and receive rewards along the way. They may even be able to learn a strategy or two with cards they may not otherwise use.

The first two Duelist Challenges have already been released and players can solve them right away. Each day, a new Duelist Challenge will appear until all five are available.

We recommend trying the Duelist Challenges on your own first, but if you find them too difficult, check out the solutions to all five below.

Note: This will be updated as new Duelist Challenges appear in the game.

DUELIST CHALLENGE #1 SOLUTION

The first Duelist Challenge is simple, but involves using the most powerful Ancient Gear monsters to take your opponent's lifepoints to zero. Your opponent starts with two facedown defense position monsters. You start with an Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem on the field, and an Ancient Gear Golem in your graveyard.

The facedown card on the left is Hane-Hane, which bounces one monster on the field back to the hand. The monster in the middle is Snowman Eater, which destroys a monster on the field when it is flipped face up.

Unfortunately, if you choose the wrong monster to attack you will fail this quiz. Follow these steps to complete the first Duelist Challenge:

• Attack the middle monster (Snowman Eater) with Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem.
• Activate Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem's effect after it is destroyed.
• Special Summon Ancient Gear Golem from your graveyard to the field in attack position.
• Attack the last monster (Hane-Hane) with Ancient Gear Golem.

DUELIST CHALLENGE #2 SOLUTION

In the second Duelist Challenge, you'll be tasked with overpowering your opponent's monster and taking their lifepoints to zero. However, it's not as easy as it looks.

Your opponent starts with Warrior of Zera on the field in attack position. You will start with Shining Friendship on the field in attack position. Players have Vylon Cube in their hand, Vylong Sigma in their Extra Deck, and three equip spell cards in their regular deck: Axe of Despair, Twin Sword of Flashing Light - Tryce and Mage Power.

The solution to this Duelist Challenge is to use Vylon Sigma's ability to get all three equip cards from the deck to the field in one turn. Here's the solution for Duelist Challenge #2:

• Normal summon Vylon Cube in attack position.
• Synchro Summon Vylon Sigma by sending Cube and Shining Friendship to the graveyard.
• Use Vylon Cube's effect to bring Mage Power or Axe of Despair from your deck to your hand.
• Equip Vylon Cube with Mage Power or Axe of Despair.
• Attack Warrior of Zera with Vylon Sigma.
• Activate Sigma's ability to equip Tryce from your deck.
• Attack with Vylon Sigma again, equipping Mage Power or Axe of Despair from your deck.

DUELIST CHALLENGE #3 SOLUTION

If you're a fan of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon decks in Duel Links, this is the quiz for you. You start with one Blue-Eyes, one Silver's Cry, two Dragon Spirit of White and one Cosmo Brain in your hand. Your opponent has three Red-Eyes Black Dragons on the field in attack position with two of them equipped with Metalmorph.

Here's the solution for this quiz:

• Special Summon Cosmo Brain in attack position by ssending Dragon Spirit of White to the graveyard.
• Activate Silver's Cry from your hand to special summon Dragon Spirit of White from the graveyard.
• Activate Spirit of White's effect to banish one of the Metalmorphs.
• Use Cosmo Brain's ability to tribute Dragon Spirit of White on your field to special summon the second Dragon Spirit of White from your hand in attack position.
• Activate Spirit of White's effect to banish the second Metalmorph.
• Attack with Cosmo Brain and then Dragon Spirit of White.
• Activate Dragon Spirit of White's effect to tribute itself to special summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon from your hand to the field in attack position.
• Attack with Blue-Eyes.

Reward: 30 Gems

DUELIST CHALLENGE #4 SOLUTION

The fourth duelist challenge revolves around Synchro Summonining using some of the new cards in the Secrets of the Ancients box.

Here's the solution for duelist challenge 4:

• Special Summon Unknown Synchron to the field.
• Normal Summon Trident Warrior and activate its effect to Special Summon Delta Flyer in attack mode.
• Synchro Summon Armades, Keeper of Boundaries in attack mode using Trident Warrior and Unknown Synchron.
• Activate Delta Flyer's effect to raise Armades' level by one.
• Attack Cherry Inmato with Armades and then attack directly with Delta Flyer.
• Activate Urgent Tuning to Synchro Summon Giganticastle in attack mode.
• Attack directly with Giganticastle.

Reward: Skilled Dark Magician

DUELIST CHALLENGE #5 SOLUTION

If you're a fan of the Dragunity cards, this is the quiz for you. There's a ton of steps for duelists to try and complete so here's a step-by-step rundown on how to solve the Duelist Challenge #5:

• Activate the effect of Dragon Mastery
• Select Dragunity Militum, then equip it with Dragunity Phalanx
• Activate the effect of Dragunity Militum to Special Summon Dragunity Phalanx
• Synchro Summon Dragunity Knight - Gae Dearg from your extra deck
• Activate the effect of Dragunity Knight - Gae Dearg to add Dragunity Dux to your hand
• Discard Dragunity Partisan
• Summon Dragunity Dux from your hand
• Activate the effect of Dragunity Dux and select Dragunity Phalanx as the target
• Activate the effect of Dragunity Phalanx (summon it in attack position)
• Synchro Summon Dragunity Knight - Vajrayana from your extra deck (attack position)

• Synchro Summon Ally of Justice Light Gazer using Dragunity Phalanx and Dragunity Knight - Gae Dearg as material
• Change to battle phase
