The popular trading card game Yu-Gi-Oh! is coming to the Nintendo Switch in a brand new game titled Legacy of the Duelist:Link Evolution.

Fans of the trading card game will recognize the Legacy of the Duelist name, as the TCG simulator released on PS4. Xbox One and PC in 2015. Link Evolution acts as an expanded version that includes more than 9000 cards from the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG as well as all the previously released content from the original title.

Players will be able to play through classic storylines from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! anime to the VRAINS series. Duelists will also be able to play as the different series' villains in Reverse Duels. Fans can compete with Battle Packs for Sealed play and Draft play to increase the amount of ways to play.

And for the first time, the Link Summoning mechanic will make its way to a Yu-Gi-Oh! video game. If you're still having trouble understanding the Link Summoning mechanic in the TCG, this will be a perfect way to practice with some of the most up-to-date cards.

Duelists will be able to challenge friends in local-play or other players online.

While Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links is a competent simulator for the trading card game, its Speed Duel format doesn't mirror the way the TCG is supposed to be played. Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution will give players the full five monster and spell/trap card slots, as opposed to three, and 8000 lifepoints - as opposed to 4000 - along with Main Phase 2. If you enjoy Duel Links, Link Evolution is the next step in playing the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG.
