In the U.K, the Doncaster council (@MyDoncaster) had some fun at Adele's expense by highlighting a crime she's committing in the music video for "Easy on Me." They claim they're going to have to fine her for littering, and despite her requests, they "will not be going easy on her."

Unfortunately, as Adele’s video was clearly filmed within the confines of Doncaster metropolitan borough, she will be issued with a fixed penalty notice for littering immediately.

The Internet's Verdict on 'Easy on Me'

While the critics' reviews have been positive, the internet's reaction appears to be overwhelmingly praiseworthy.

Adele's fans noticed references from previous songs and videos of hers. A common theme online was the symbolism of the house she sings in and the fact that she's now sold it. @AdrianMaSarabia explained the narrative and shared the corresponding images.

Adele built a house in rolling in the deep, she moved in that house in hello and left the house in easy on me. A story teller!! #EasyOnMe pic.twitter.com/ZLDYtLPM92
