When the Next Episode of '1883' Is Available and the Series Finale Date Revealed
1883 fans will have some extra time to grieve over the events of the last episode as the show takes a week off.
While the Yellowstone prequel show is taking a brief break, there is exciting news regarding the season finale date, confirming how many episodes we have left, and when they'll air.
Episode 5 of 1883, "The Fangs of Freedom," ended on a momentum-shifting down note, but actor Eric Nelsen explained to Newsweek why the story has to go that way. The episode left the fans wanting more, so here's all the details of when Episode 6 will air.
When Will 1883 Episode 6 Launch?
Fans of Taylor Sheridan's latest series will have to wait just another week before Episode 6 of 1883 airs.
Episode 6 will be available to watch on Paramount+ on Sunday, January 30.
The brief break in the schedule is likely to be the last of the series, and we can look forward to weekly installments of the show until the end of the season.
When Will the Season Finale of 1883 Air?
Paramount confirmed that the season finale will be on Sunday, February 27, 2022.
That means that, since the entire season of 1883 only contains 10 episodes, the series will likely air weekly, one after another until Episode 10 on that date.

Story Lines on 1883 on Paramount+ (Spoilers)
1883 tells the story of how the Dutton family traveled from Texas to Montana, where we see them in the present day in Sherdian's other series Yellowstone.
We've met James (Tim McGraw), Margaret (Faith Hill), Elsa (Isabel May) and John Dutton Sr. (Audie Rick) who are all relatives of Kevin Costner's John Dutton in Yellowstone. We've watched as the family set off with a group of immigrants and Pinkerton agents as they head west on the Oregon Trail.
The leader, Shea Brennan (Sam Elliot), may reach breaking point along the trip as he continues to lose his temper, Thomas (LaMonica Garrett) seems to have shacked up with a Romani widow, and Josef (Marc Rissmann) needs to step up as a leader for the other immigrants.
The biggest question that needs answering before the end of the season will be whether Elsa pregnant with Ennis' baby? As Newsweek investigated, the answer to this question may be hidden in two flashback scenes featured in Yellowstone, while Ennis actor Nelsen explained that his character won't be forgotten about by the survivors.
