'They Gonna Do Him Dirty': 50 Cent Says Donald Trump Is Going to Jail

Rapper 50 Cent seems to think that President Donald Trump is "going to jail." At least, that's what the rapper tweeted on Thursday.

Like many people across the country, 50 Cent—whose real name is Curtis Jackson—is keeping an eye on the results of the 2020 presidential election and Trump's comments on the state of the race. Votes are still being counted in places like Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. However, the president, along with claiming a premature victory, has publicly called for the counting of votes to be discontinued. The notion has apparently left 50 Cent baffled, causing the 45-year-old to take to Twitter to share his thoughts.

"Man they gonna do Trump dirty, he going to jail. you ever herd [sic] a president say stop counting the f**king votes. LOL SMH," 50 Cent wrote on Thursday.

Along with the message, the rapper and actor included a photo of the Statue of Liberty holding a homemade mask slingshot, set to fling Trump up into the air.

Earlier on Thursday, Trump tweeted, "STOP THE COUNT."

Trump's demands for vote-counting to end come as his Democratic opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden continues to lead the incredibly close race.

A number of states are still making way through mail-in and absentee ballot. While some states allowed mail-in ballots to be counted beforehand, there were some places across the country—like Pennsylvania for instance—in which mail-in ballots weren't allowed to be counted until Election Day, whereas other states don't allow the counting of mail-in ballots until after in-person ballots are counted. In states like Pennsylvania and North Carolina, the Supreme Court has allowed ballots postmarked by Election Day to be received up to nine days after the election to be counted.

With the millions of ballots sent in via mail this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, election officials have long suspected counting would not be finished on election night.

In the interim, Trump's campaign began filing lawsuits on Wednesday to challenge voting processes in Pennsylvania, Georgia and Michigan, while the president has demanded a recount in Wisconsin where Biden won by 20,000 votes.

It's unlikely there will be legal repercussions for Trump's rhetoric like 50 Cent suggested, but his assumption that the president could be facing lockup is hardly the most bizarre thing the Power star has ever said on social media.

Just a day before the election, 50 Cent got a rise out of followers when he tweeted a photo of a black man brandishing a Confederate Flag against a white man holding a Black Lives Matter sign. 50 Cent compared the image to rappers Lil Wayne and Eminem, who had recently voiced their support for Trump and Biden, respectively.
