Aaron Mostofsky, Capitol Rioter Wearing Fur Pelts and Carrying Police Shield, Arrested By FBI

Aaron Mostofsky, the son of a Brooklyn Supreme Court judge, was arrested by the FBI's New York office Monday in connection with last Wednesday's U.S. Capitol riot.

Mostofsky was seen wearing fur pelts and an officer's bulletproof vest while carrying a police shield in several videos recorded in Washington D.C. last week. On Monday, FBI agents arrested Mostofsky on four federal charges after he stormed into the Capitol alongside hundreds of President Donald Trump supporters and QAnon conspiracy theorists.

Mostofsky is one of many Orthodox Jews who attended the January 6 protest against President-elect Joe Biden's election victory and was seen in several wire photographs standing next to rallygoers holding Confederate flags. He told the New York Post amid the riot that he came to "express my opinion as a free American that this election was stolen" from Trump. He was soon listed as a "person of interest" for his unlawful entry into the government building.

Mostofsky's father is Kings County Supreme Court Judge Steve [Shlomo] Mostofsky. He is the former president of the National Council of Young Israel and was elected to the bench last January with the support of the Brooklyn Democratic Party. On Friday, his son Aaron, was seen leaving his New York City home while wearing a "Shadow Banned" hat which is sold by James O'Keefe's far-right activist group "Project Veritas."

"We were cheated," Mostofsky told the Post last week. "I don't think 75 million people voted for Trump — I think it was close to 85 million."
