Pac Joins All Elite Wrestling and Challenges Hangman Page at Double or Nothing

In one of the surprise signings of the All Elite Wrestling press conference, Pac - formerly known as Neville - arrived in the rally held in Jacksonville, Fla. and challenged one of the Elite.

Pac interrupted Hangman Page's speech to the crowd after Page said he wanted to become the first All Elite Wrestling champion. Pac sneered at the thought and told Page that he can't possibly think he can become champion, especially since he's never won one before.

Pac arrived in wrestling gear and holding the Dream Gate Championship from the Japanese promotion, Dragon Gate. The former WWE superstar walked off the stage leaving Page to allude to a match at Double or Nothing on May 25.

The Double or Nothing show will be the first event put on by AEW. It will be held at the MGM Grand arena in Las Vegas.

Neville walked away from the WWE in the second half of 2017, with reports stating he was tired of being pigeonholed into the 205 Live division. Ironically, Neville's career saw a resurgence on 205 Live, as he turned heel and became a ruthless champion, with feuds against other members of the roster, especially Austin Aries.

In October, Neville reemerged in the wrestling world as Pac in Dragon Gate, a Japanese promotion. Since his return, Neville has been working in the independent scene, becoming the champion of Dragon Gate.

All Elite Wrestling was announced on January 1 at the end of the 132nd episode of the Being the Elite webseries. Shortly after, the promotion signed its first in-ring performers including Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, Adam Page, and Britt Baker. Brandi Rhodes signed on to All Elite Wrestling as the company's chief branding officer.

Shad Khan, who owns the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars and Fulham FC of the English Premier League, will be the lead investor of AEW with his son Tony Khan serving in a leadership role.
