Ivan Lendl, the Czech tennis coach, is being linked with a return to Andy Murray's camp after the world no. 3 split from trainer Amelie Mauresmo on Monday.

Mauresmo replaced Lendl, an eight-time Grand Slam champion himself, in June 2014 after he had guided Murray to the Wimbledon title in 2013, plus U.S. Open and Olympic gold the previous year.

The British no. 1 announced he would be parting company with Mauresmo by "mutual consent" having worked together for two years.

Speculation linked Murray with Lendl, also his coach of two years, but both parties played down the idea. Murray told reporters: "I loved working with Ivan Lendl and had great results with him."

But he questioned whether former players are able to commit, adding: "It's whether they have enough time and whether they want to do it as well."

Lendl also addressed rumors of a reunion. He said: "I understand the speculation part but feel many people get too caught up in it. I certainly don't like being part of that game."
