Bob Saget: What the Olsen Twins and 'Full House' Cast Have Said About Comedian's Death

Several cast members of Full House, including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, have paid tribute to Bob Saget, the late comedian and actor who played Danny Tanner on the show.

The star of the beloved American television show (which aired from 1987 to 1995) and its Netflix spin-off Fuller House (2016 to 2020) has died at the age of 65.

Saget was found dead in his Florida hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando on Sunday, following a performance in Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office tweeted: "Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room.

"The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case. #BobSaget," the post added.

The cause and manner of his death will be determined by the medical examiner's office at a later date, Variety reported.

Confirming his death, Saget's family said in a statement: "He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter."

Here we look at what Saget's Full House co-stars have said about his death.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

In a joint statement, the twin fashion designers who both played Saget's daughter in Full House (Michelle Tanner), said: "Bob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man. We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has.

"We are thinking of his daughters, wife and family and are sending our condolences," they added.

John Stamos

The actor who played Jesse Katsopolis (Uncle Jesse) on the show tweeted Monday: "I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby."

Dave Coulier

Coulier, who played Joey Gladstone (Uncle Joey), also shared his thoughts on Twitter. "My heart is broken. I love you, Bob. Your forever brother, Dave," the actor tweeted Monday.

"I'll never let go, brother. Love you, [heart emoji]," the actor wrote in a subsequent tweet and Instagram post, sharing an image of himself and Saget.

Candace Cameron Bure

The actress who played Saget's eldest daughter in the show (D.J. Tanner) expressed she had "no words" in a post on Twitter.

"I don't know what to say [broken heart emoji]. I have no words. Bob was one of the best humans beings I've ever known in my life. I loved him so much," the actress tweeted Monday.

Andrea Barber

Barber, who played Kimmy Gibbler (D.J.'s best friend) on Full House, shared a lengthy post on Instagram.

Alongside a slideshow of photos featuring Saget and her previous castmates, Barber spoke about her love for the late comedian and "the greatest lesson" she learned from him.

The actress wrote: "This one hurts. 💔 He had the biggest heart of anyone in Hollywood. He gave the biggest hugs. I am gutted that I will never be able to hug him again. Bob ended every text, every interaction with 'Love you.' Didn't matter how long or short we'd been apart.

"He loved so deeply and so fiercely. And he never hesitated to tell you just how much you meant to him. This is the greatest lesson I learned from Bob Saget - don't hesitate to tell people you love them. I feel at peace knowing that Bob knew exactly how much I adore him. 💫

"Rest well, my dear friend. I have no doubt you are making everyone in Heaven laugh until their cheeks hurt, just as you did here on Earth. ❤️," Barber concluded.
