'Call of Duty: Black Ops 4' Zombies Guide - How to Get Death of Orion in IX

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies features a brand-new Wonder Weapon called Death of Orion. In this guide, we'll tell you how to get it on the IX map.

How to Pack-a-Punch in IX

In order to get Death of Orion, you first need to unlock IX's Pack-a-Punch machine. For those who don't know, getting Pack-a-Punch involves solving a mini puzzle. It offers a 25 percent damage increase to weapons when used. In the spirit of Black Ops 4, the buff can be stacked up to four times. Here are the steps to Pack-a-Punch in IX.

From spawn, head downstairs, past the treasure, through the gate and get to the large Fallen Hero statue bust shown below. The Mystery Box is typically here, which will give you some solid weapons to start with.

If you've played through IX at all, you'll know there are four named temples in the corners of the map. The Pack-a-Punch requires you to go to all four of them in any order. We're starting with the Temple of Ra, which is to the right of the spawn area.

At the temple, hold the interact button on the gong. A boss called a Champion will appear. The form it takes will vary, but the strategy is generally the same each time. Solid shooting and Specialist weapons will finish them off.

Once you defeat it, a head will appear. Run to it to add it to your inventory.

From the Ra Altar Room, pass through the gate to Stone Bridge and to the Danu Altar Room. Interact with the gong again, beat the boss and get another skull.

Next we're going to go under the map. This takes us from the Danu-Ra Temple Entrance, to the Collapsed Tunnel, past the statue at Fallen Hero, through the Pit and into Odin Tunnel. You'll arrive at the Odin Altar Room, where you'll see another gong. Interact with it, kill the boss and take the head.

From the Odin Altar Room, release the bridge to make your way to Zeus' Altar Room. Once again, interact with the gong, defeat the boss and take the final head.

From the Altar Room, go downstairs to Zeus Tower Entrance, down further into the Zeus Tower Bath House and to the Odin-Zeus Temple Entrance. Look for any entrance to the Crypts that takes you to The Cursed Room, through Flooded Crypt and up the stairs to the Temple. Any way you get to the Temple is fine. There you'll find a large central altar. Place the heads on the outer spikes and the Pack-a-Punch machine will lower.

How to Get Death of Orion in 'Black Ops 4'

Now that you've done Pack-a-Punch, the next step is to get the Death of Orion Wonder Weapon. Let's get to it.

After you get Pack-a-Punch you'll trigger a bunch of explosions. Follow them from the Temple to the Danu-Ra Temple Entrance. Just past a set of stairs you'll see a small grate with a flaming pot behind it. Shoot the pot.

Go back up to the bridge near the Danu Altar Room. There you'll see a flaming arrow pointing to a temple with a statue head you must grab. Because there are four temples, there are four possible spawns for the head.

Ra: In the basement called the Ra Tower Burial Chamber. It's behind a flaming bowl in the corner.

Danu: Also on the bottom floor in the water.

Zeus: In the basement bath area. It's in a corner under some curtains.

Odin: Next to the large pot.

Next you need to build an Acid Trap with three pieces. Two of them are found at Pack-a-Punch, and the other is a large cauldron in the center of the Challenge Podium.

Build the trap at a skull near any of the god Tower entrances, and place the statue head on the metal grate on the floor below you. Activate the trap, and the acid will leak through the vent, turning the head into a Scorpion pipe.

Go the central Arena and take on some zombies while keeping your favor with the crowd as high as possible. In other words, don't get hit and kill lots of them. Eventually a booming voice will say "you've earned a gift from Serket." Take the small gold pot off the ground.

From the Arena, go to Danu Tower Entrance and work your way downstairs to the Danu Tower Arboretum. In this room, find a tree with a small hole in it that looks like this. Slash it with your knife. When you do, your Scorpion pipe will automatically insert. Drop the gold pot below that spot to fill it with poison.

It takes one round for the pot to fill, so just go back out to the Arena to slay some bad guys. After the round is done, go back, grab the pot and proceed to the nearest Mystery Box, like the one near the Fallen Hero statue. At the box you'll be prompted to poison it. Do so, activate the box and you'll get the Death of Orion.
