Destiny 2 's latest Black Armory update added the Gofannon Forge to the game. In this guide, we'll tell you how to locate it and build the Basic Sniper Rifle Frame.
1) Get Stolen Black Armory Gear from Fallen enemies: You can literally find Fallen anywhere, but it may be helpful to go to the start of the Scourge of the Past raid if you're unsure where to look. Fallen will drop the gear, which you then take to Ada-1 in the new section of the Tower.
2) Gather Additional tained Gear: This step requires you to kill more Fallen but with precision kills this time. Grab your favorite Hand Cannon or Sniper and head anywhere you can find Fallen. A good starting point is the Trostland in the EDZ. Use the area itself or the surrounding Lost Sectors to score some kills.
3) Needle in the Tangled Shore: Go to the Tangled Shore and take the gear to Spider. He tells you to complete the Cryo-pod Heroic and get 75 Fallen melee kills. To beat the Heroic, make your way to the Thieves Landing landing point right by Spider. For the melee kills just repeat what you've been doing and go to places where Fallen are likely to reside.
4) Scourge of the Armory: After that's done, go see Spider again to start a quest in the Winding Cove. You'll need to be around 620 Power to get everything done, so some extra grinding may be required. Luckily, we have an updated guide to help you out with that. All you need to do is go to the marked Lost Sectors and take out the bosses therein. You can do it solo if you're well-equipped, but a team is probably preferable.
5) Siviks' Delivery Note: Once you finish that, the next step is to go to Nessus to intercept some high-value Captain targets. High-value targets are named bosses with yellow-bar health. You can do this step anywhere Captains spawn, but one place is at Exodus Black. Be aware that you may have to wait a little while for the target to spawn. Once it does, kill it.
6) The Cistern, Arcadian Valley: The next quest step from Spider involves going to a marked Lost Sector, killing its boss and scanning the gear inside.
7) Another Lost Forge: Go to Artifact's Edge to find the Forge. Kill the bullet-sponge boss and return to Ada-1 to fully unlock the Gofannon Forge. You'll also have the option of getting a Sniper Rifle Frame, which is basically the exact same process you may have used for the Machine Gun Frame.
